Weza Care Solutions is looking for a highly qualified and motivated individual to take the Curriculum Developer & Copy Writer position.

1.1. What Do Weza Care Solutions& Curriculum Developers & Copywriters Do?
• Curriculum developers & duties include but are not limited to authoring educational training material and developing programs of instruction. At Weza Care Solutions, the curriculum developer coordinates with the research, media, and delivery department to develop curricula for our partners. The curriculum developer's workplace includes testing training procedures in different areas affecting social work and care reform and potentially textbook writing within Weza Care. The curriculum developer works directly with the delivery department in field roles to receive direct feedback and with the research team to make the most edits and revisions through virtual feedback.
• An ideal candidate for this role is well versed in modular content development and can interact professionally and effectively with various audiences. Because of this, they are expected to be adept in copywriting, which will also require them to provide support to the media team to tailor content for a variety of audiences.

1.2. Roles, Key Duties, and Responsibilities
Curriculum Development (70%)
• Assess and discuss curriculum standards.
• Research trends in instructional methods and educational technology.
• Review and recommend textbooks and other educational materials.
• Observe the work of teaching staff to evaluate performance.
• Provide feedback based on individual observations and learner performance data.
• Develop procedures for teachers to implement the curriculum.
• Train educators and other instructional staff on new content or technology.
• Mentor or coach educators and instructional staff on skill improvement
• Collaborate with the delivery department to plan, organize and conduct training conferences and workshops.
• Horizon scan to stay up to date with the latest technology, techniques, and methods.
• Collaborate with the Research and DevOps departments to conduct research and develop prototypes and proof of concepts.
• Look for opportunities to use insights/datasets/code/models across other functions in the organization (for example, in the HR and DevOps departments)
• Stay curious and enthusiastic about using algorithms to solve problems and enthuse others to see the benefit of your work.
Copywriter (30%)
• Create, edit, and proof copy according to customer expectations while meeting deadlines. Examples include headlines, media posts, press releases, web copy, curriculum, brochures, radio/TV scripts, or other related marketing materials.
• Create taglines and slogans that appear on brochures, websites, and other promotional materials.
• Have detailed knowledge of the target audience of each project and maintain an accurate tone of voice.
• Have regular interaction with the Research, Media, and Delivery Departments and provide suggestions for content-related issues.
• Collaborate with the Media Department to manage Weza Care Solutions' social media to bolster its online presence through interaction with end-users. Postings may include care reform best practices, public relations, service offerings, and partner success stories.
• Perform other duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications
A good degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related discipline is required.

Skills & Competencies
• Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in curriculum design, adult learning principles, and effective assessment strategies.
• Knowledge of digital learning tools and the ability to select teaching methods appropriate for industry and audience
• Experience working with subject matter experts (SME) to develop accurate, relevant content, including demonstrated facilitation skills
• Strong written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to receive and incorporate feedback into course material from program leads, subject matter experts, students, and instructors
• Knowledge of copyright and trademark rules for writing and delivering content and graphics
• Excellent computer skills, including experience with computer-based training software and current E-Learning tools (Angel, Moodle, Adobe Captivate, Articulate Rapid E-Learning Studio, and eLearning management systems).
• Proactive, collaborative, and flexible
• Strong ability to manage, prioritize, and organize multiple tasks
• Ability to reliably meet project deadlines

Experience
• 3-5 years experience in a curriculum development/instructional design role or similar
• Experience using metrics for undertaking needs analysis and learning strategy development to improve individual and organizational performance through learning.
• Experience in managing stakeholders and managing others to achieve desired results
• Experience in project management and coordinating internal activities to meet delivery expectations of internal and external clients
• Experience of copywriting or related communications experience
