JOB DETAILS:
• The Country Lead: Talent and Development is a senior employee that owns the total value chain of Talent Management and Learning & Development in the country. They ensure the success of the organisation through the establishment of strong internal and external talent pipelines and the systematic attraction, appointment, leadership development, and promotion of high performing employees as well as ensuring the delivery of functional training and development. The primary responsibility of the role is to proactively build the full leadership bench strength of the country ensuring a match with suitable internal and external talent. This employee is a leader that owns and devises all the talent management and talent development strategies and plans to ensure success for the organisation through the provision of the right talent at the right time to address business needs.

Key Purpose:
The key focus will be to, manage, and monitor these components of the Human Resources service offering:
• Talent attraction and Employer Brand establishment in the territory
• Talent acquisition and appointment
• Onboarding of appointments
• Performance Management strategies and methodologies
• Annual execution of the Performance Management processes
• Talent Management strategies and methodologies
• Annual execution of talent management events
• Succession planning tools and approaches
• On time delivery of a quality calibrated Talent Succession plan for the country (TDF)
• Leadership development
• HIPO programme initiation, sourcing, identification and development: graduates, management trainees, EAs
• Talent and performance related reports, insights, and analytics

Functional Development initiated and executed as required This employee is responsible for developing strategies to build a mature organisational talent and development practice that will enable the subsidiary to set and achieve its talent and development targets through the delivery of efficient and effective services.

• The Country Lead: Talent and Development works closely with Group Office and with their team members to envision, design and source solutions that support the execution of the different talent strategies. They build robust relationships with key vendors and suppliers and use them as a source of expertise and thought leadership. They ensure the execution of annually HR routines such as performance management, HIPO identification, succession planning and leader identification. They ensure a steady supply of succession candidates for critical and leadership positions by ensuring the establishment and delivery of best practice leadership development and HIPO pipeline development programmes. They ensure that both the talent management and performance management strategies lead to a high-performance culture and the retention of key talent. They engage with stakeholders in the business to agree talent and performance management approaches that are aligned to performance standards, talent and succession requirements and to review and implement best practice performance management procedures. They build and manage a team of professional Talent and Development Specialists in the subsidiary, and they ensure the competent delivery by this team through continuous coaching, development, and management. This job forms part of the Human Resources division in CCBA and job incumbents report primarily to the Group Head: Talent and Development with a secondary reporting line to the Human Resources Director.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Honours or Masters in Industrial Psychology or Human Resources. Industrial Psychologist or Psychometric accreditation would be an advantage.
• 10 to 14 years’ experience in a Human Resources corporate or consulting environment with at least 5-6 years focused on working in talent acquisition and assessment.
