AFRICAN PRISONS PROJECT
The African Prisons Project (APP) is a community of people passionately committed to bringing dignity, hope and justice to men, women and children in African prisons.
POSITION: COUNTRY DIRECTOR
You will be the second country director of APP Kenya. You will help to build on the foundations already in place, including but not limited to, a strong partnership with Kenya Prisons Service at headquarters and the nine prisons in which APP operates; a strong cohort of students academically (95% pass rate in the 2018 University of London summer exams, our first 1st class mark); the recent receipt of the Google Impact Challenge Award; strong local and international media coverage of our work; strong partnerships with stakeholders in government, academia and the legal fraternity.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In line with APP's strategy, values and ethos you will implement the business plan and objectives for APP Kenya. You will lead APP Kenya in working interdependently with the rest of the APP community and in establishing a posture of hospitality and excellence internally and externally.
