Job Summary
The Catholic Diocese of Nakuru wishes to recruit a mature, highly motivated, competent, honest and remarkably talented Cook cum House keeper.
• Minimum Qualification: Diploma
• Experience Level: Mid level
• Experience Length: 5 years

Job Description/Requirements

The Cook cum Housekeeper Job Purpose: Planning of menus and food preparation in accordance with the planned menu and overseeing the operations of the guest wing and ensuring the accommodation and public areas offered to guests are presented to the highest standards of cleanliness and guest provision.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
• Ensure there is a clean, sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Check the quality of ingredients.
• Monitor stock and make requisitions when there are shortages.
• Perform all necessary cleaning activities such as dusting sweeping and trash removal.
• Adhere to procedures and ensure all rooms are clean and replenish supplies.
• Ensure all rooms are clean at all times.

Qualifications
• Diploma in Food Production and Accommodation.
• MUST have a certificate from the county health department.
• Minimum of five (5) years working experience in a busy facility.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.

Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education: Associate Degree
