Consultancy - Project Monitoring and Reporting Advisor – LEAP Japan COVID 19 project
Duties and Responsibilities

Scope of Work:
• The national consultant shall support the technical aspects pertaining monitoring and reporting for the LEAP Programme. She/he will provide technical support to UN Women Office for East and Southern Africa and country office in areas of planning, progress tracking and consolidation of reports at the regional level. Additionally, she/he will support capacity building of Country Offices in capturing results, preparation of reports as well as overall project monitoring.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to the humanitarian and DRR team at regional office on monitoring and reporting for the LEAP programme Uganda and Somalia
• Support capacity building of country offices [Somali and Uganda] on LEAP project monitoring and assist the preparation of LEAP Programme report with country focal points
• Provide technical support in strengthening the M&E capacities of UN Women and its implementing partners to engage in and lead monitoring, reporting and evaluation processes
• Support in the consolidation of the semi-annual and final narrative report for the LEAP project

Required Skills and Experience
Education:

• Master’s Degree in the field of, Disaster Risk Management, Humanitarian Affairs, Conflict Management, Social Sciences, Gender Equality, Program Management, statistics and/or other social or economic science related to the areas relevant for the assignment.
• Certification as an M&E professional
Experience:
• At least 10 years of experience in the development sector preferably in Disaster, Humanitarian, Development, Conflict Prevention and Gender issues.
• Experience conducting consultative research, data collection and preparing project reports
• Experience in undertaking research on humanitarian programming initiatives that target women and youth in developing countries
• Experience in design and delivery of training modules that target diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of policies and legal frameworks on gender equality, Disaster and Humanitarian crisis.
• Experience working with international organizations (successful experience in working Experience in communication, documentation and reporting with UN agencies is an asset)
Language skills:
Excellent verbal and written English.
Knowledge of the other UN official working language is an asset
