OBJECTIVE OF THE CONSULTANCY

I Choose Life Africa is seeking expressions of interest from website designers to design, develop and launch an online platform for capacity building entrepreneurs and supporting them to start and grow their businesses through the use of digital tools and e-Commerce. The platform must include an online marketplace for their products and a payment solution.

EXPECTATIONS

The Consultant who will be shortlisted must have relevant experience in developing a fully responsive web-portal platform with a focus on mobile and tablet design. The consultant must be familiar with the use of WordPress as a content management system and a coding language for web development. The website should be able to accommodate blog-based and article-based content, directories, audio and video content with an online storefront. It should be adaptable for future feature and performance upgrades.

DELIVERABLES

1. Developed web-portal should have the following deliverables;
2. Integration capabilities to allow our organization to unite systems and customer data on the back end.
3. An emphasis on consistency across digital touchpoints to give these united systems a shared look and feel on the front end
4. Personalization through a combination of biographical data (who they are) and behavioral data (what they did on the site) gives enterprises the ability to contextualize experiences, usually facilitated by a login process.

QUALIFICATIONS

The consultant should have the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Web development or related field, or relevant experience.
2. Solid knowledge and experience in programming applications.
3. Dedicated team player.
4. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
5. Solid ability in both written and verbal communication.
6. Knowledge of programming language and technical terminology.
7. Able to develop ideas and processes and clearly express them.
8. A high degree of independent judgment.
9. Able to solve complex problems.

TIME FRAME AND DAYS REQUIRED

1. The assignment should be completed within 3 weeks of signing the contract.
2. ICL will conduct relevant quality checks including relevant plagiarism tests.
