Feed the Future Kenya Investment Mechanism (KIM) is a five-year USAID funded project (2018-2023) that will unlock $400 million of investments to key agricultural value chains, namely horticulture, dairy, and livestock and to the energy sector. The Business Enabling Environment (BEE) Advisor will spearhead the identification, prioritization, and implementation of policy reforms that will unlock significant amounts of capital for key agricultural value chains and/ or clean energy for agriculture. This advisor will operate at both the national and the county levels. At the county level, the advisor will drive investment opportunities by supporting both the capacity building of government officials to attract and mobilize investment and the policy reforms needed to unlock private sector investments. At the national level, using a collaborative approach that includes government stakeholders, the private sector, and other implementing partners, the advisor will advocate for and support reforms that unlock financing and investment opportunities at scale.
