Overview
The Commercial Analyst for East & Anglophone West Africa will report to the Commercial Finance Lead Diagnostics South Africa and SADC with a functional reporting line to the Finance Manager Diagnostics Kenya & Africa Network.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Analyst related responsibilities
• Development of structured commercial offers to customers in line with Roche best practices and modeling of different scenarios to test sensitivities and impacts.
• Monitoring customer profitability against plans, analyzing variances and providing feedback as required.
• Proposing profitability targets annually by reviewing historical data, analyzing the trend and providing input on targets for approval.
• Developing meaningful financial reports enabling decision making for other stakeholders in the organization.
• Contributing to the design and new concepts of performance measurement in the commercial space, synthesising product and financial data into actionable recommendations.
• Participation in and contributing to ad-hoc projects, intiatives and sprints for the Finance Community within the Africa Network.
Data & contract administration related responsibilities
• Daily upload of material master data including Pricing to the ERP system.
• Updating the general system price lists annually.
• Validating credit notes and resolving customer purchase order price anomalies.
• Creating and maintaining customer contract structures in SAP including billing procedures and notifying commercial teams of contract expiry and assisting with the contract renewal process.
• Ensuring that contracts are approved and signed by the relevant internal & external stakeholders and to maintain hard copy records of all contracts.
You, as an ideal candidate, will have the following skills, experience and education:
• Experience: 2 to 5 years’ experience in management reporting and working with supporting tools (Tableau, Powerpoint and Excel). Experience with SAP is an asset.
Qualifications: Degree in Finance/Business Administration or equivalent.
Other requirements: A curious mind, enthusiasm to bring the story behind the insights, willingness to push boundaries and a passion to change things for the better. Experience in a network working environment is an advantage. Excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, an open-mindset and adaptability. Fluency in English required, any other language is an asset.
