Chief Operating Officer

About The Role
As COO, you will play an important role as the organisation looks to expand in Kenya. You will work closely with the leadership team to drive the strategy for this rapid phase of growth.
You will direct all operations for all products including Technical Field Operations, Logistics, Customer Success and Facilities. You will implement Operations best practices which will be the backbone of the activities of our expanding organization.
You will also have the interpersonal skills to inspire your direct reports and their teams (5-10 direct reports).
You will be able to provide strong vision and direction for them, while gaining the best of their specialist knowledge and experience.

What You will do:
• Manage operations in a period of rapid growth
• Support, mentor & motivate your direct reports
• Introduce operational improvements by scoping, leading & implementing the best processes & systems
• Identify and implement software tools and systems to manage & scale operations efficiently
• Monitoring and increasing productivity and efficiency through analytical problem solving and data-driven decisions
• High Involvement in managing P&L

Must Have:
• At least 5 – 10 years working experience in a similar position in a fast-growing organization
• Expertise in Operations Management including operations systems, processes and project management
• 5+ years of direct managerial experience of specialist teams
• Knowledge and experience of CRM and other software systems to enhance operational efficiency
• Experience in physical product organization – ideally renewable energy.
• A university Degree or its equivalent from a from a recognized institution
• Master’s Degree / MBA is a plus.
• Excellent English language skills
