JOB DETAILS:
Chief Executive Officer
Postbank Non-WDT SACCO is seeking for qualified candidates to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
The CEO will provide leadership for the achievement of Sacco’s strategic objectives and operational performance, with a specific focus on growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to increase profitability.
• Effectively implementing the Board’s policy directives and providing technical advice and operational feedback to the Board.
• Oversee the smooth operation and efficient use of resources through effective business plans, policy framework, systems, controls, and structures.
• Provide leadership to all the Sacco’s internal management team
• Ensure adequate policies and practices for effective Human Capital management.
• Ensure timely preparation and approval of budgets by the Board, as well as monitor budget implementation.
• Ensuring Sacco’s financial performance is sound, with a focus on results delivery and the provision of periodic and annual reports to the Board.
• Ensure that Sacco operations and transactions are carried out in accordance with Sacco’s By-Laws, regulations, rules, and laws.
• Ensuring that a strong risk, compliance, and governance framework is embedded in accordance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Enhance the good image of Sacco when dealing with the key stakeholders and the public.
• Creating a customer-centric environment and the delivery of member-centric services.

Requirements
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, or a related field. An MBA is an added advantage.
• CPA (K) or equivalent, as well as membership in a professional body.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience, four (4) of which should be in Senior Management, preferably at a financial institution of comparable size.
• Knowledge of the operations of a financial institution, particularly a SACCO, and proficiency in computer applications.
• A team player with excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, as well as organizational negotiation and analytical skills and attention to detail.
