JOB DETAILS:
1.0. Introduction And Background
The Association of Skilled Migrant Agencies of Kenya (ASMAK) is a non-profit association, which was formed in 201 8 as a professional body for Private Employment Agencies who have undergone thorough vetting and Licensed by the National Employment Authority, under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
ASMAK would like to hire a Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O) to provide overall strategic Leadership to the association in line with Vision, mission, objectives and the strategic Organization Plan.

The CEO who will be the overall head of the Secretariat shall report to the ASMAK board and will be Responsible for providing leadership and foster a high Team performance culture to the secretariat staff and to the members of the association.

2.0. Duties And Responsibilities
The CEO will report to the Executive Committee and will be responsible for the following duties & Responsibilities:
I. Be responsible for the management and day to day operations of the Association.
II. Lead and account for delivery of associations Strategic plan and oversee the implementation, Monitoring and evaluation of the strategy.
iii. Responsible for and spearheading the mobilization of the resources and developing other revenue sources for the association through fundraising and project Management.
iv. Develop and maintain appropriate contingency Plans for all kind of emergencies that may affect the Associations work and the industry.
v. Support the Board of Directors to carry out its Governance responsibility, attend all Board meetings, oversee implementation of all Board decisions regarding Policies and procedures, serve as liaison between Board and staff, keep Board updated on all operations, changes and problems, coordinate Board/Committee activities and attend Committee meetings. The CEO is an ex-officio Board member and secretary to the Board.
vi. Responsible for preparation of Annual Budgets, work plans and other plans and ensuring value for money in utilization of Association resources.
vii. Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and corporate governance principles.
vii. Ensuring the Association applies all recommended best practices and if not, that the failure to do so is justifiable explained.
viii. Responsible for providing reports in a timely Manner. Build professional relationships, linkages and Partnerships that promote the interests of the Association

3.0. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
The Chief Executive Officer shall have the following minimum qualifications:
a) Bachelor’s Degree in Labor Law.
b) 5 years demonstrate management experience with at least in a senior Management Position in Membership Organization/Association, NCO or Donor funded organization or a related one.
c) Knowledge of the following recruitment industry’s attribute: legal rules and guidelines, latest trends and best practices, diverse business functions and principles: data analysis and performance/operation metrics: corporate and regulatory best practices;
d) Should have Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and leadership skills; project management and fundraising skills.
e) Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies
f) Having a vision to put the mission into a long-term view
g) Ability to attract, recruit, nature, retain the best talent.
h) Have knowledge of the labor migration trajectory in Kenya
