JOB DETAILS:
Our client is a non-deposit taking financial institution under the supervision of the Central Bank of Kenya who provides long-term funds to primary mortgage lenders in order to increase the availability and affordability of mortgage loans to Kenyans. In order to drive its strategy, the institution seeks to recruit a Chief Executive Officer to drive the Company's Strategy and facilitate achievement of its objectives.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will oversee all day to day operations of the Company including creating planning, implementing and integrating the strategic direction of the organization and ensure compliance with the relevant legislation and the Terms of Authorization issued by the regulatory bodies, establish procedures for the governance of the Company and advise the Board of Directors on developments in governance issues. This role is also critical to the execution of the strategy, vision and mission of the organisation. .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensuring the Company is run and managed in accordance with the Law, regulations and rules and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote a cohesive work environment;
• Oversee all company operations, including relations with all stakeholders
• Ensure the Company puls in place a sound strategy for delivering operational goals and targets
• Lead the management team to execute its mandate and including its long-term vision;
• Provide leadership and direction to all departments by setting high-level goals with departmental heads, performance-oriented objectives and working together on attaining such goals by closely monitoring the operations and ensure adherence to established code of conduct;
• Ensure the Company has set policies and procedures and in consultation with the Board, enforce compliance and implementation of Board policies
• Promote management and technological innovations to enhance organizational efficiency and productivity:
• Present the Company's annual capital and revenue budgets to the Board for adoption;
• Oversee financial management and investment undertakings by ensuring that sound policies and practices are adopted for optimal utilization of financial resources as well as ensuring adherence to Company's budget, and
• Oversee effective management of human resources for optimal productivity through policies and strategies that attract and retain qualified and competent staff.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
The jobholder must possess:
• A Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Strategic Planning or a related field.
• A minimum of fifteen (15) years of related work experience with at least 5 years in a senior executive position.
• Professional Qualification in banking, finance, investment banking
• Professional Membership with relevant professional body
• Possess high level of Strategic thinking, problem solving and decision-making abilities
• Must be an effective communicator with ability to communicate both internally and externally
• Must have high level of integrity and ethical practice
