Background
Greenpeace Africa is a growing movement of people acting in response to the climate crisis. Our campaigns are peaceful. Creative confrontation to expose environmental injustices in Africa and develop solutions for a green and peaceful future. In attempts to support growing global youth movements for climate justice, Greenpeace has collaborated with Fryshuset to establish 6 Change maker Spaces in and across Africa and Europe. Change maker Spaces will be physical spaces to help youths interact with each other to ignite and accelerate actions on the climate crisis at home and globally,

Overview of purpose of the role
The Change maker Space Community Manager is responsible for delivery of the project in Nairobi, Kenya and task gives a freelance or some shorter term part-time position. They are responsible for establishing and managing the Change Maker space in Nairobi in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and will create necessary environments and support for young people in conducting advocacy work

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Outreach; coordinating projects for young activists and climate engaged youths
• Designing and facilitation of workshops and trainings
• Monitoring and evaluation

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills
.• Bachelor's Degree in related field, and 3 or more years' experience in project management .
•3 or more years' experience in movement building and/or community organizing
• Experience in training, coaching mentoring young people
• Self-motivated and organized
