JOB DETAILS:
In this role, the BDM leads and develops business plans, meeting planned goals, and coordinating with our marketing department on lead generation. Tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of your sales team by tracking sales goals, setting individual sales targets, and facilitate the ongoing training of your salespeople.
Responsibilities:
• Manages the entire sales Open leads finalise the deal and implementation to the Country manager function in the organisation on a national basis by coordinating the work of Regional Sales Managers.
• Carries out extensive field tours.
• Create and implement effective direct sales strategies and lead nationwide direct sales personnel toward achievement of corporate sales objectives.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
• Attend clinical meetings, seminars, and conferences as appropriate.
• Establish relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and Key Decision Makers in order to create market awareness of the products through demonstrations and representations
• Monitor and report on competitive activities for MEA region as well as in Africa mostly north Africa.
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Abbott Quality System
• Oversee the planning and implementation of business plans for the penetration of new markets
• Manage the sales and marketing functions of Abbott business to maximize returns and expand a business brand
• Collaborate with company Heads to set business objectives and development goals
• Set up meetings with customers to deliver sales pitches and conduct sales of ARDx products and services
• Conduct market research to identify developments/changes in industry trends in order to make necessary adjustments
• Establish strategic partnership with other companies to leverage on their network
• Review current approach to business development and make changes where necessary
• Ensure business processes and standards are in accordance with regulations and
• Able to travel local and Nationally
• Conduct negotiations to determine contract terms and ensure profitable deals
• Set and enforce customer service standards to ensure clients are satisfied with received products/services
• Ensure departmental goals are in line with company growth strategy.
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Quality System
Qualifications and Experience:
• A Degree in Health Sciences and an Additional Business-related qualification.
• Minimum of 5-7 sales and Business development experience.
• Must have worked within the private and public sector
• Experience have sold to mining, pathology, educational, NGO’s is essential , FMCG
• Experience within Africa
