Business Coach Intern

Somo is a business accelerator that supports social entrepreneurs working to transform low-income communities. We invest in community-led initiatives and provide the resources that entrepreneurs need to build sustainable enterprises. These resources include; business training, funding, access to new markets, and tailored advising and mentorship.

About the Roles
Somo’s Business Coach’s overall responsibility is to assist our entrepreneurs’ development initiatives by guiding them through their milestones and beginning to establish their businesses.
During this 3-month internship, you will gain access to training and mentorship in business with the potential of receiving a full-time offer after completion.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Provide hands-on coaching for Somo businesses.
• Facilitate Somo’s investment process
• Conduct site visits entrepreneurs business premises to ensure business activities are running smoothly
• Facilitate quarterly reporting and collection of entrepreneurs’ data.
• Contribute to developing acceleration documents and processes.
•Evaluate the entrepreneur’s progress and advise management on progress made.
• Prepare a start-up schedule and budgets for the entrepreneurs.
•Facilitate entrepreneurs getting the necessary documents to set up their businesses.

Skills & Requirements
•Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
•Demonstrates initiative and self-motivation
• Relevant University degree in business administration or related field.
