About the role Are you an experienced Business Analyst with a passion for Agile Product Management?
We are looking for a Business Analyst who will be positioned in our Product Development department and largely under the Operations Team. The ideal candidate will work cross-fun
ctionally with a number of independently operating teams. We follow agile and lean start up thinking in our product design/implementation approach. This means that this individual will need to have a keen understanding of the needs/goals of different stakeholders and work backwards to develop products and use metrics to measure their success.
About you You will work closely with the software development, survey operations, research, business development, customer service, and executive teams to bring products to market, develop and grow business opportunities, and enhance our existing product features. The successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team oriented, and will have the ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities • Assist in new requirements gathering and analysis, creation, and review of product requirement documentation (including user stories and mock ups) in alignment with the business owner and key stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve the design of existing systems, products, and features
• Adherence to agile process and product development lifecycle
• Work cross-functionally with the different teams outlined and not limited to Product Managers, Quality Assurance, Software Developers, Business Teams
• Support Sprint Planning across platforms both pre and post to meet product roadmap and priority bug fix delivery timelines
• Identify risks and issues that will impact delivery & articulate and develop mitigation measures
• Assist with End User support management
Relevant experience • Working experience in Product Management, Data Analysis, Software Development.
• Experience taking an idea from discovery stage to market launch
• Understand manual testing techniques
• Experience using project management and tracking tools
• Process/system design, requirements generation with UI/UX design
• Ability to communicate comfortably, confidently, and credibly to share your point of view and expertise.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and comfortable collaborating with teams across varying time zones and cultures.
Qualifications and Skills • At least 3 years’ working experience in a Software Development environment that practices Product Development methodologies
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline/ equivalent experience
• An intermediate understanding of quality assurance testing
• Strengths in problem solving, decision making, and follow up
• Ability to work in a timeline driven environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging with different stakeholders
• Proven ability to work independently under minimal supervision
• Project Management certification (preferred but not required)
