JOB DETAILS:

The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation is seeking an Associate RFOU Officer to be based in an EGPAF Country Office.The position holder will support countries to strictly adhere to the standards set out in the country office finance & accounting manual (COFAM) as specifically set out in this job description.

No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect in this role?
• Perform transactional review of QBO entries and partner with country teams to ensure correctness of accounting codes funder codes, memo descriptions and ensure that vouchers are attached in QBO as required in the COFAM
• Perform quality assurance reviews on country Month end reports
• Prepare the monthly upload template to transfer expenses/transactions from the country office QBO files to the global office financial system
• Prepare reviewer feedback for post month end exit meetings with individual country finance and accounting colleagues
• Ensure that the country office finance and accounting document library on SharePoint is complete with all the required filing documentation attendant to month end procedures and other accounting processes
• Participate in knowledge sharing initiatives with, and between countries geared at reinforcing knowledge in key accounting domains per COFAM standards
• Serve as an audit support resource on global audits, coordinating sample pulling and sharing with the Controller
• Provide administrative support for special projects such as inventory and fleet management initiatives
• As needed, travels to assigned countries on temporary duties or for other technical support
• Other duties as may be assigned by the line manager

To be successful, you will have
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance / Business Administration, or any other relevant field is required.
• Progress towards professional qualification in Accounting e.g. CPA, or ACCA
• Proficient with QuickBooks accounting software is an added advantage
• Some knowledge of donor regulations including CDC/PEPFAR USAID, Global Fund and other major international donors with different reporting requirements and demands
• Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Self-driven, with strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision
