The Company is looking for a highly experienced, dynamic and passionate professional with strong Project Management and Execution background to fill the position of a Project Manager.
About the Role
This is a Mid-level Management Role with a leading software company. The position is based in Nairobi. You’ll have to maintain control of diverse projects, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader with strong people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for all project direction, planning, completion, and financial outcome. In order to succeed in this position, the candidate must be organized and have excellent time management skills.
Responsibilities
• lead the planning and implementation of project
• facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
• define project tasks and resource requirements
• develop full scale project plans
• assemble and coordinate project staff
• manage project budget
• manage project resource allocation
• plan and schedule project timelines
• track project deliverables using appropriate tools
• provide direction and support to project team
• constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
• present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
• implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
• project evaluations and assessment of results
Education and Experience
• University degree from recognized institution in relevant field
• Qualification in project management or equivalent (Prince 2 or PMP qualifications or both)
• knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
• knowledge of project management techniques and tools
• 4- 5 years direct work experience in project management capacity
• proven experience in people management
• proven experience in strategic planning
• proven experience in risk management
• proven experience in change management
• proficient in project management software
