JOB DETAILS:
Department of Lands , Energy, Housing, Physical planning and Urban Development
Assistant Director – Renewable Energy (Job Group P)
REF: CG/KLF/CPSB/ADVERT/4/1/2022

For appointment to this grade, an officer must;
• Have a Bachelor's Degree in Energy, Physics, Agriculture, Electrical Engineering, or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
• Have at least seven (7) years' experience in the energy field
• Have proven experience and competence in the conceptualization, implementation, and evaluation of energy related programs.
• Have served in a senior position either in the public sector or private sector for at least three (3) years
• Have excellent negotiation and stakeholders' engagement skills
• Be registered with a relevant professional body
• Have a clear understanding of the Energy Act of 2019
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010

NB: (i) A Master's degree in Energy, Physics, Agriculture, Electrical Engineering, or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized University will be an added advantage
(ii) A Certificate in GIS will be an added advantage

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
SalaryScale: Ksh. 87, 360 - 121,430 p.m.
Other Allowances: As per guidelines issued by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 84
