JOB DETAILS:
The Assistant Director, Corporate Communications is responsible for ensuring that the Authority achieves its corporate objectives through the development, implementation and evaluation of effective communication strategies.

Job Requirements
• Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines; communication, public relations, journalism or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Masters Degree in any of the following disciplines; communication, public relations, journalism or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Post graduate diploma in mass communication /public relations;
• At least eight (8) years’ relevant work experience with at least three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory role;
• Certificate in a management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks;
• Relevant professional qualification and membership to a professional body, in good standing, where applicable;
• Proficiency in Computer Applications; and,
• Fulfill the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.

Job Specifications

• Coordinating corporate and outreach events for the Authority;
• Managing media relations;
• Coordinating the development of corporate branding strategy;
• Coordinating the review, development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures in Quality Management Systems;
• Developing, implementing and reporting on departmental work plan, risk mitigation, budget and procurement plan; and,
• Designing programs that promote a positive corporate image of the Authority.
