1. The KISUMU NATIONAL POLYTECHNIC has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the EAST AFRICAS KILLS FOR TRANSFORMATION AND REGIONAL INTEGRATION PROJECT and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for the purchase.delivery, installation. training and commissioning of textile technology training, and production and testing equipment .

2.   The KISUMU NATIONAL POLYTECHNIC now invites sealed Bidsfrom eligible Biddersforthe SUPPLY, DELIVERY, INSTALLATION, TRAINING AND COMMISSIONING OF TEXTILE TECHNOLOGY TRAINING AND PRODUCTION AND TESTING EQUIPMENT [Lot 1: Lint

Process Lot2: Yarn Manufacturing : Lot 3: Fabric Manufacturing, Quality Testing, Dyeing and Finishing;Lot 4: Fashion Design] .

3. Bidders may Bid for one or several contracts, as further defined in the request for bids document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts incase they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so,provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.

4. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank's "Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers" July 2016 Revised 2020, fourth edition ("Procurement Regulations"). and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined inthe Procurement Regulations.

5. Interested eligible Bidders niay obtain further information from The Kisumu National Polytechnic, procurement@kisumupoly.ac.ke and inspect the bidding document during office hours i.e. 0800 to 1600 hours EAT at the address given below ·
6. The bidding document in ENGLISH may be downloaded from www.kisumupoly.ac.ke  or be collected by interested bidder from The Kisumu National Polytechnic upon payment of KES 5,000 through banker's cheque
7. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 28th DECEMBER 2022 11.00 Hours EAT. Electronic Bidding WILL NOT be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders' designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 17th January 2023 AT 11.00 Hours EAT.

B.  All Bids must be accompanied by Bid-Securlty of Kenya shillings 5,000,000.00

9. Attention isdrawn to the Procurement Regulations requiringthe Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder's beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice,usingthe Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
