JOB DETAILS:
  Panagora Group, a woman-owned small business specializing in global health and international development, seeks an Accountant to support an anticipated Mission Support for Journey to Self-Reliance for USAID/Kenya and East Africa. This full-time position will be located in Nairobi, Kenya and is long-term. The position is contingent upon award and USAID approval..

  Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain system to account for financial transactions using established chart of accounts, bookkeeping policies and procedures.
• Verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
• Balances accounts by reconciling entries.
• Maintain records and file documents.
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
• Comply with United States government and local legal requirements by studying requirements, filing reports, and advising management.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:
• CPA certification and accountancy degree
• At least one year’s experience as an accountant
• Must be a legal resident of Kenya. S/he may be Kenyan or an expatriate already living in Kenya with a minimum of five years’ experience living and working in developing country
• Fluency in English, Kiswahili preferred
• USAID experience preferred
