Global Public Health (GPH) is recruiting for a highly motivated results orientated Access Lead reporting into the Global Surgery Africa Implementation Lead and will drive efforts in advancing access strategies and programs on the African continent on behalf of Johnson & Johnson GPH.

In this role you will
• Elevate the importance of equitable access to surgical care
• Inform global strategy development, through local insights, with the Global Surgery Franchise team
• Assess country policy gaps in lower income markets and co-create tactical plans to deliver solutions and patient impact initiatives through engagement, collaboration and partnerships
• Develop and maintain sustainable relationships with a range of stakeholders focusing on MoH Directorates, National Bodies, NGOs, implementing partners, distributors, Market access partners, pan African organizations and key clinical partners on the continent
• Collaborate with medical affairs, external affairs, program leads, government affairs, regulatory teams and country level key opinion leaders, government officials, multi lateral organizations, regulatory bodies and others
• The role may require up to 30% of national and international travel

Qualifications
Required:
• Degree in Science, Health Policy, Public Health, or relevant areas of specialization
• Understanding and knowledge of Obstetric Fistula landscape
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with strong presentation style at all levels of the organization. Ability to influence and persuade both internal and external partners
• Proven project management skills. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects within a complex and changing environment
• Organized and structured demeanor
• Flexible team member with positive demeanor. Ability to work on his/her own in a matrix environment and deliver on projects with “can do!” attitude
• Advanced written and spoken English
Preferred:
• Postgraduate qualification or relevant experience in Health Economics and/or Master in Business Administration (MBA)
• Progressive experience in the public health or healthcare industry (>3 years)
• Experience working with industry groups, government and alliances
• Multiple language skills, including local languages for region
