Mandera County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions as per the constitution of Kenya 2010 under Articles 176 and County Government Act No 17 of 2012.


40 Enforcement Officers (Band Members) — JG "G-H"

Duties and responsibilities

  • Preforming for ceremonies, parades, concerts, festivals and dances;
  •  Preforming all applicable styles of music and rehearsing and learning new music when not performing;
  • Participate in special assignments like band team activities and official parade guards;
  • Ensure proper records are kept for necessary action;
  • Early—to—day coordination, monitoring and evaluate of the county's enforcement programs in assigned section;
  • Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Mandera County Government and to not jeopardize its core mandate and
  • Serve under the overall direction of the Band leader;
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirements for Appointment

  • Must be a Kenyan Citizen;
  • Must have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent;
  • Certificate in band drills with 4 years of relevant experience is required or;
  • Certificate/Diploma in music or related qualification from a recognized institution is added advantage for the position;
  • Demonstrate knowledge of music and musical instruments.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili;
  •  Interpersonal skills.
