23. Social Welfare Officer J.G CPSB 10 ‘J’
Positions: - 4
Terms of Service: - Contract

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develops and provides comprehensive social and welfare services, including counseling at the Community Level
2. Identifies needy families within communities and liaising with the relevant county departments for necessary assistance
3. Provide social and family services that promote and facilitate social integration within families
4. Report cases of gender based violence, disasters and other forms of misfortunes to the relevant county authorities for further action
5. Community awareness creation and education
6. Assist in the implementation of County Social protection programmes including distribution of relief assistance
7. Help in the promotion of community safety net and related activities.

Requirements for Appointment
1. Be a Kenyan Citizen
2. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C or its equivalent qualification; and
3. Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, Anthropology, Counselling or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
4. At least 3 years’ relevant experience
5. Additional qualifications on Social Protection programmes will be an added advantage
6. Computer proficiency certificate

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: Associate Degree
