JOB DETAILS:
Kiambu County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following positions in the County. This is pursuant to Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and Section 63 of the County Government Act, 2012.
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGISTS -FOUR (4) POSTS -(JOB GROUP CPSB09) .

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
• Provision of psychology and mental health services to patients in the outpatient department using current guidelines and protocols.
• Provision of psychology and mental health services to patients in the inpatient department using current guidelines and protocols.
• Provision of psychological assessment and services to staff
• Giving continuous medical education on a regular basis.
• Undertake requisite professional development activities
• Performing any other duties delegated by your respective supervisor.

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:
• Be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from an institution recognized in Kenya, Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
• Be recognised and registered by the relevant professional bodies.
• Have a minimum of two years’ experience.
• Have in depth understanding of management of common mental health conditions both inpatient and outpatient care.
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya
