SENIOR GEOSPATIAL DATA MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT -TWO (2) POSTS VACANCY NO.15/2020
Terms of Service: Permanent/Pensionable
Salary Scale: Kshs.41,770 -Kshs.57,900 p.m.(CSG 9)
House Allowance: Kshs.13,000 –Kshs.28,000 p.m.(depending on duty station)
Commuter Allowance: Kshs.6,000 p.m.
Leave Allowance: Kshs.6,000 (once yearly)
Medical Cover: As provided by the Government .
Duties and responsibilities includes:
• Digitizing of geospatial records from public and private producers;
• Indexing of geospatial records from public and private producers;
• Cataloguing of geospatial records from public and private producers;
• Developing metadata of geospatial records from public and private producers;
• Querying of geospatial records from public and private producers; and
• Preserving geospatial records from public and private producers.
Job Skills: Not Specified
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
• Served for a minimum period of three (3) years in the grade of Geospatial Data Management Assistant I, CSG10 or in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service;
• A Diploma in Archives and Records Management and Survey of Kenya Occupational Tests Certificate (Survey Records Grade II) or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
OR
Survey of Kenya Occupational Tests Certificate (Survey Records Grade I) from a recognized institution;
• Affiliate/associate membership of Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK);
• Certificate in computer applications; and
• Demonstrated merit and shown ability as reflected in work performance and results.
