APPLICATION FOR POSITIONS IN THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF TEAWASCO

Tetu Aberdare Water and Sanitation Company Limited (TEAWASCO) is a legal entity under the companies Act Cap 486 of the laws of Kenya, owned by the County Government of Nyeri and functions as a Water Services Provider in Kenya contracted by Tana Water Services Board (TWSB) as its agent under an SPA signed in 2012. The company is responsible for efficient and economical provision of water and sanitation services within Tetu Sub County and its environs.

The Board of Directors comprises representatives of stakeholders identified by the County Government of Nyeri in consultation with Tana Water Services Board in accordance with Corporate Governance Guidelines issued by the Water Services Regulatory Board. The Board of the Company has two (2) vacancies for directors to be filled by representatives of the following stakeholders:

• One (1) Director, representing Religious Organizations
  
• One (1) Director, representing special interest group -The Youth, Association of Disabled, Minorities and NGOs.

  this is therefore to invite applications from nominees of the above stakeholders. The applicants should enclose a letter of nomination from the stakeholder organization/institution together with their own applications and curriculum vitae (CV) including certified copies of academic, professional certificates and testimonials. The applicants must meet the eligibility criteria outline in TEAWASCO‘S Website www.teawasco.co.ke
  

The applications in a sealed envelope marked “APPLICATION FOR DIRECTORSHIP IN TEAWASCO“ should be submitted to reach the address below on or before 11.00 a.m. on 17th May 2018 or be deposited in the Tender Box at TEAWASCO main offices at Kamakwa. Chairperson, Selection Committee

Submitted applications will be opened soon after closing at the Company's board room in the presence of the stakeholders or their representatives who wish to attend.

NOTICE ON STAKEHOLDER`S CONFERENCE

The General Public who are the existing or potential customers of Tetu Aberdare Water and Sanitation Company Ltd are also notified that there shall be Stakeholders Conference at Wamagana Catholic Hall on Friday, 11th May 2018 at 11.00.am

The agenda of the stakeholder`s Conference shall be:

• Opening remarks by the Chairman

• Presentation on the Company's Operations
  
• Remarks by the CEC-Water, Environment & Natural Resources, Nyeri County
  
• Presentation by Tana Water Services Board
  
• Presentation on the role of the stakeholders in water service provision and their respective roles in corporate governance
  
• The planned Annual General Meeting
  
• Election of Selection Committee
  
• Plenary session
  
• Closing and departure

The stakeholders identified are in line with Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) approved Corporate Governance Guidelines. The identified stakeholders are invited to attend the conference or their representatives as per the list available on our website: www.teawaso.co.ke

The general public is notified that the stakeholders shall carry out the agenda/business of the conference on behalf of all the categories of consumers who benefit or are potential beneficiaries from Tetu Aberdare Water and Sanitation Company Ltd Services.

Only invited stakeholders shall attend the conference. In case of any stakeholder institution that has reason to believe that it has not been included in the attached list; you are kindly requested to apply in writing to the undersigned not later than 7th May 2018. Tana Water Services Board and County Government of Nyeri have the discretion to accept or reject the application in line with the WASREB Guidelines.
