GENERAL SALES MANAGER (2 POSITIONS)- PASSENGER VEHICLES & HEAVY COMMERCIAL VEHICLES
Role Purpose: To effectively, efficiently and profitably manage the Sales of passenger Vehicle Brands and Heavy Commercial Vehicles respectively with a view of meeting the business strategic goals/objectives.

  Job Responsibilities
• Create sales forecasts by estimating total vehicle sales, gross and operating profits as well as expenses for new car sales. Ensure that the Division is always adequately supplied with vehicles by regularly meeting with sales managers to plan and implement objectives for achieving sales and gross profits
• Hold regular meetings and briefings with Principals and appraise CMC top leadership on an ongoing basis with the aim of maintaining healthy business relationships.
• Drive achievement of agreed sales and performance KPI targets (focus on Volume, Margin, IPRU and ultimately income growth) of the Division
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is obtained by managing customer complaints and implementing standards for displaying and merchandising new vehicles as well as all promotions
• To manage the sales pipeline through CRM system to accurately measure sales performance and leads generated and build adequate level of orders to fulfil budgeted volumes.
• Ensures that accurate information on competitors is presented to the Sales Director thereby supporting the development of strategies that are aimed at increasing market share.
• Coach and train the team to ensure the product and technical knowledge it's ac a level required to conduct successful exchanges with existing and potential customers. Provide guidance and timely support to the sales team to help enable them to independently and effectively manage their territories and customers thereby ensuring achievement of targets and customer satisfaction

  Job Qualifications
• A university Degree in Sales & Marketing/ equivalent from a recognized institution.
• A post graduate Diploma in Management is desirable.
• Highly organized and able to prioritize workloads and meet tight deadlines.
• At least 8 -10 years' experience in automotive dealership out of which a minimum 5 years should be at Managerial: Level
• Demonstrated leadership skills and Strategic/Systems Thinking, Customer Orientation, Decisiveness.
• A Results oriented person with sound understanding of automotive dealer/distributor business processes.
• Business Negotiation skills, Business acumen, Strategy. Organizational & analytical skills
