(Nairobi City Water & Sewerage Company Limited)

BOARD VACANCIES
In accordance with the Water Act, the Companies Act, the Corporate Governance Guidelines issued by the Water Services Regulatory Board, and all other applicable laws, our client, Nairobi City County Government, which fully owns the Nairobi City Water & Sewerage Company Limited wishes to replace the Two (2) vacant positions in its Board of Directors.
Members of the Board of Directors are expected to professionally steer the Company to excellence while applying constitutional values and principles including participatory decision-making, inclusivity, integrity, transparency, and accountability.
The Board of Directors of Nairobi City Water & Sewerage Company Limited comprises representatives drawn from various stakeholder groups as shown below.

Guidelines to the Stakeholder Representation:
a) Representation from manufacturing, commercial, large consumer, and /or Business community as the case may be.
b) Directors from the County Government where each shall be a professional county also from the county finance department.
c) Representation from resident organizations based in Nairobi City.
d) Representation from an organization(s) involved in the advancement of opportunities for women
e) Representation from organization representing recognized minorities and/ or marginalized interest groups

The Person must meet the following Requirements:
i. Hold a degree from a recognized university
ii. Demonstrate experience and acumen in a business or any profession of at least seven (7) years.
iii. Possess skills in finance, accounts, auditing, ICT systems, business management, engineering, law, organizational development. Human Resources or Business planning
iv. Meet the requirements under Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on leadership and integrity; and for this purpose, provide a clearance certificate from the Kenya Ethics and Anti-Corruption (EACC) before appointment.
v. Have a demonstrated commitment of the values and principles Article 232 of the Constitution.
vi. Provide a clearance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority before appointment; provide a certificate of good conduct from the Criminal Investigations Department before appointment.
vii. Experience in the management of Water related sector will be an added advantage

NB: Details of any pending or past litigation history with Nairobi City County Government and /or Nairobi City water & Sewerage Company Limited should be provided where applicable.
