10 Control Room Operators
Position Summary:
We are seeking to recruit highly skilled, self-driven control room operators of high integrity to join our team of frontline staff. The successful candidates will be assigned control room duties in any of our control rooms spread across the country. The ideal candidates should have vast experience in Control Room operations in addition to the following other requirements:

Job Introduction:
SGA Kenya Limited is looking for experienced Control Room Operators to help secure client assets through CCTV surveillance, VHF radio communication and Tracking -ECTS (Electronic Cargo Tracking System). The Control Room operator will be expected to monitor, identify, document, and investigate any exceptions/inconsistencies that pertain to the safety and security of our clients’ facilities, products, property, and any other assets.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Incident management across all departments Response, Guarding, Tracking e.tc.
• Perform daily Control Room tasks with high integrity and efficiency.
• Respond promptly to radio checks and keep accurate records of all communication.
• Monitor company vehicles and cargo trucks using our Tracking software.
• Issue field visit related equipment to staff on the instruction of the operations manager.
• Report any alarm activation to the duty security manager.
• Monitor external security situation and provide the best routes and road status to company drivers and our clients (cargo truck drivers under ECTS)
• Manage the main switchboard, answer all the calls, and direct them to the right department promptly and courteously.
• Identify and recommend changes to improve our security operations.

Reporting Relationship:
• Reporting to the Control Room manager/ supervisor.

The ideal candidate
Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications
• Diploma/Degree in Business Management (Higher diploma in security Management-related field will be an added advantage.)
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.
• 3 years’ experience in Control Room set up.
• Knowledge of the Kenyan security industry market rules & regulations.
• Proven track record in previous employment.
• Advanced knowledge of Control Room related reports & processes.
• Experience using relevant technological software’s and security equipment (CCTV, 2-way radio and security software i.e Tracking platforms, Alarm software).
• Experience in reporting and emergency response planning with at least 3 years’ experience as a Control Room operator.
• Fluent in written and spoken Swahili and English. Additional foreign languages are a plus.
