A vacancy exists in Living Water Africa Region for an Executive Assistant for the Regional Vice President. The successful Executive Assistant candidate will assist and support the Regional Vice President (RVP) in all his initiatives and will be responsible for performing advanced, diversified, and confidential administrative assignments for the RVP. The position will be a liaison between the office and the rest of the organization as well as other stakeholders. Projects on the other hand are assigned based on what is needed. The position is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Key responsibilities:• Daily Administration for the office of the Regional Vice President and deal with all communications.
• Provide coordination, monitoring, and communication of projects and programs managed by the RVP
• Review Country Office reports and compile Africa Regional Monthly Report.
• Support the Regional Strategy implementation.
• Maintain the RVPs calendar, while keeping him advised of time-sensitive and priority issues and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
• Attend meetings and take notes of discussion; prepare the initial draft of minutes and summaries
• Compile, consolidate, analyze and synthesize field reports
• Serve as a liaison between the RVP, LWI staff and other stakeholders.
• Support the LWI governance Structures while keeping abreast of changes in the global leadership environment.
• Market services of the Region to Living Water International and Donors.
• Other additional and/or alternative duties as assigned from time to time, including supporting other departments or Executives as needed.
Knowledge and Experience:• Degree in Business Administration, Public/International Relations or a relevant degree.
• 3-5 years previous administrative experience supporting an executive.
• Experience in group process and facilitation skills.
• Excellent command and communication in English; (verbal and writing).
• Tech-savvy: You are comfortable with or easily able to learn messaging
• Knowledge of and working experience with various Microsoft platforms.
• Well organized and detail oriented.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills. You are approachable, have a confident presence and have the demonstrated ability to collaborate well with others
• Proven skills in managing multiple roles and tasks simultaneously and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Solutions-oriented: You can systematically work through problems systems.
• Service orientation: You enjoy a service-oriented role and enjoy offering support where needed.
• Discretion: You specifically can be both diplomatic and discreet around sensitive executive work.
• Having a “can-do” attitude and willing to learn at all times.
• Able and willing to travel to international locations that at times may have limited amenities.
