Sales Manager
Our quickly growing international team is looking for a Sales Manager (f/m/x) in Kenya to support the development and sales of our solutions in East Africa. We’re looking for a costumer focused person with an engineering background or affinity. You are ready to take full ownership of the Solar C&I sales process from offer generation to client meeting and deal closing in a fast-paced start-up environment with international projects. You combine your people skills with Solar PV technical knowledge and look at the work through the eyes of a client. Our ideal candidate has already got their hands dirty in sales and understands the solar industry. In this role you will:
• Manage energy project opportunities from the first inquiry through its various stages until closing the contract; including preparation of offers as well as negotiation and closure of PPA and lease contracts
• Continuously engage with clients to build up trust and convince them of our solution
• Support the Project Managers with handing over the closed opportunities to the project management team, including support in filling in EPC contracts and engaging with the clients during the implementation of the projects
• Manage local EPC relationships, strengthening existing partnerships and building new ones
• Reporting of progress of the opportunities to management and daily update of the opportunities in our CRM system
• Monitor the market news and updates to continuously improve ecoligo's offer
• Represent ecoligo in conferences and events
Requirements
Your Skills:
• Having more than 2 years of experience in sales of solar solutions in Kenya, ideally in the C&I market
• Good understanding of energy systems, technical components of solar PV projects, load profiles, energy consumption behaviour, especially for C&I clients
• Understanding of basic financing mechanism for solar solutions
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Tools, experience with Asana is a plus, as is with CRM systems
• Fluent in English

• Creative thinker that identifies possible obstacles of customers and provides solutions to overcome the obstacles and close deals
• A driven personality that has a hunter attitude, wanting to close projects and be driven by successfully projects
• Having a proven track record of deal closing within a B2B environment
• You take ownership and work independently while collaborating and providing visibility
• You can switch between many tasks if necessary and stay comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• You are comfortable in receiving and giving open and transparent feedback
• You want to fight the climate crisis and cannot wait to support ecoligo's unique business model
