About the Opportunity
This is a new position for Inkomoko, as we are rapidly growing our IT team as we scale into new geographies and lean on technology for improved business operations. As a member of the IT team, the successful candidate will work closely with the users to ensure that the solution fully meets the needs of the client, and that all requirements are clearly understood, documented, and implemented through the initiation and development process.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
Developing Business Requirements/Solutions (40% time)
1. Driving continuous process improvement initiatives to meet business needs
2. Define objectives and scope of business system
3. Working closely with multiple stakeholders to gather, analyze and define current business processes as well as requirements
4. Translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
5. Analyze complex business problems/requirements and determine an IT solution with managers and end-users
6. Explore pricing and cost-benefit analysis of various business solutions
7. Ensuring requirements issues are tracked, reported and resolved in a timely manner
8. Stay up to date with user requirements and new strategies across the organization
9. Anticipate needs for future iteration based on business expansion

Project Implementation Support (40% time)
1. Supporting the Project Manager in delivering the project plan on time and on-budget
2. Identify and resolve project issues; Engage with QA staff to ensure the solution meets the business requirements
3. Coordinate the development of documentation to enable implementation and turnover of the process of system
4. Effectively communicating plan, status, risks and issues to the stakeholder in a precise and timely manner
5. Supporting users' participation in deployments and implementation activities, including training on use of features
6. Conduct post-project evaluation
7. Report on the system’s analysis rating as per business requirements.
8. Other Projects and Duties as Needed (20% time)
9. Engage fully with IT colleagues on development of new ideas, sharing understanding of users across the company
10. Proactively propose new systems for automation, efficiency
11. Develop and test new solutions/ideas that create a competitive advantage for the company.
12. Map user experience to ensure the best customer experience and journey
13. Stay up-to-date with industry trends to ensure the best solutions are available for Inkomoko.

Minimum Qualifications
1. At least 3 years experience working as a business analyst
2. Experience with agile development, particularly SCRUM
3. Human Centered design experience strongly preferred for understanding customer journeys
4. Great communication skills with a variety of people, and adept at working with multiple stakeholders to drive outcomes
5. Experience with fintech preferred
6. Certification in project management preferred
7. Commitment to fixing the problem, not promoting one solution
8. Degree in computer science science, engineering, or project management preferred
9. Fluent in written and spoken English, plus at least one other East African language
