JOB DETAILS:
Key Responsibilities
• Develop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs
• Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration
• Perform engineering calculations to support design and maintenance work
• Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
• Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process
• Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget
• Perform Data Centre facilities systems installation and configurations
• Actively involved in the maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment to minimize ‘downtime’
• Co-provide input on power usage and for capacity planning
• Respond to alarms escalate alarms according to guidelines
• Work to improve efficiency, sustainability, environmental impact, automation, human resource utilization, documentation and/or control.
• Respond to data centre performance issues and outages, inspect, maintain, and repair various data centre systems.
• Provide engineering expertise, guidance, and technical assistance.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications & experience
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar area of study.
• Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar
• Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering (CAM) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAE)
• Minimum of 0 – 2 years’ experience as a technician in mechanical or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of data centres is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of HVAC and fire suppression in an advantage

• Ability to interact with various levels of employees throughout the organization, VIP support included.
• Ability to relay technical information to non-technical business units.
• Strong documentation skills.
