JOB DETAILS:
Job Description Pharmacist will oversee all day-to-day pharmacy operations and manage all staff in the pharmacy. Pharmacist will work full-time hours during all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The Pharmacist will report directly to the owners, but primarily works as the head of the pharmacy team. Infrequently, pharmacy managers travel to pick up inventory items and must be on-call to handle pharmacy emergencies and advise patients. .

  Duties and Responsibilities
• Pharmacist will follow controlled substance protocols in accordance with country's Pharmacy and Poisons Board regulations and procedures;
• Pharmacist will advise patients and give them proper directions for taking prescription drugs, supplements, and over-the-counter medications. Pharmacist also address customer problems and complaints.
• Pharmacist will fill prescriptions and check prescriptions filled by pharmacy techs to ensure proper procedures have been followed.
• Pharmacist will follow all opening and closing procedures for the pharmacy.
• Pharmacist will ensure that all employees, including themselves, maintain all pharmacy and store protocols and procedures.
• Pharmacist will maintain and manage inventory, ordering new supplies when necessary and keeping inventory areas organized.
• Pharmacist will keep the pharmacy clean and well-organized.
• Pharmacist will collect money, balance registers, and check daily receipts to maintain the pharmacy budget.

Skills and Qualifications
• Leadership skills – pharmacist will is a supervisor who leads by example, supervising staff and overseeing all daily operations to keep the pharmacy running efficiently and legally
• Customer service– because Pharmacist will address customer complaints and dispense advice to customers, she / he will have strong customer service skills
• Communication– Pharmacist will use good verbal communication skills to explain medications and dosages to patients and direct staff effectively
• Computer skills– Pharmacist will use computer skills to verify prescriptions in the system, enter information into digital customer files and POS selling system, and check inventory records
• Math skills– as Pharmacist will collect payments and balance registers, she / he will have at least basic math skills

Education and Training
• Pharmacist will be both pharmacist and manager who must have a registered Diploma in pharmacology.
• We also require Pharmacist to have a current pharmacy license and registered by PPB to work and practice in Kenya.
• Little to no training is provided to Pharmacist, and it is expected that she/he should already have the necessary education, skills and personality to perform their job duties.
• Employer will provide a brief orientation program to Pharmacist, usually lasting no more than a week, so they can become familiar with pharmacy and store procedures. It is expected that Pharmacist is a quick learner and will find it easy to adjust to the working conditions.
