Our client, National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) is a state corporation established by under the Act no S of 1998 whose mandate is to provide accessible, affordable. sustainable and quality social health insurance. In order to enhance institutional capacity to deliver strategy, NHIF is seeking to recruit results driven and highly motivated individuals to fill the following position;


10. Manager, ICT Projects Ref. NHIF/MICTP/10/2018

Reporting to the Head of ICT, the job holder will be responsible for defining, managing and delivering corporate ICT projects and programmes within the specified time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define business, ICT systems and service requirements and solution for service areas within NHIF
  • Deliver projects and programmes according to business priorities, ICT Systems and service requirements; contribute towards the development of an in-house ICT project management and governance framework; and
  • Act as key advisor to project and programme boards, resolving issues and recommending corrective measures.

Person Specifications

  • Be a holder of a Bachelors Degree in any of the following fields; Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or any other relevant field from a recognized university;
  • A Masters Degree in any of the above, or related fields from a university recognized in Kenya will be an added advantage;
  • Possess Post graduate certification in Project Management from a reputable institution; and
  • Have knowledge and relevant experience of not less than eight (8) years in ICT projects with three (3) years at managerial level in an organization of similar complexity as NHIF

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement annual digital communication strategy and plan;
  • Monitor website and online social networks and respond to any information inaccuracies;
  • Support service provision through emails, web charts and digital media; and
  • Produce digital communication analytics for decision making.

Person Specifications

  • Be a holder of a Bachelors Degree in any of the following fields; IT, Communications, Public Relations, or any other relevant field from a recognized university;
  • A Masters Degree in any of the above, or related fields from a university recognized in Kenya will be an added advantage;
  • Possess a professional qualification in Web Design/Development; and
  • Have knowledge and relevant experience of not less than eight (8) years in digital communications with three (3) years at managerial level.

  • Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations;
  • Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board;
  • Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority:
  • Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission; and
  • A report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau.
