JOB DETAILS:
Overall Responsibility
• The Warehouse Supervisor ensures that general warehousing activities are properly carried out in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs). S/he organizes and plans the warehouse's activities.
Tasks And Responsibilities
• Ensure items are physically received into the Warehouse and posted in JDE (ERP System) and copies of receiving slips, POs (Purchase Orders) and Supplier delivery notes are serially filed;
• Ensure reception of goods consigned at supplier premises in JDE System based on instructions from purchasing department and after arranging supplier visit (Inspection/Verification);
• Prepare weekly Reception Monitoring reports and approved shipment monitoring reports for review by Warehouse Manager;
• Coordinate and guide Storekeepers on the correct Lots, Transit entries, Purchase Orders, and stock locations to pack from;
• Endorse packing lists to ensure compliance to packages, parcel weights, volume, Dispatch locations, Modes of Transport, and transits by ensuring that all packed or committed quantities in stock have their packing lists attached for ease of identification and that no item leaves the warehouse without supporting documentation;
• Liaise closely with Load planners (Fleet and Imports/Exports) and provide guidance on weights and volumes for advance load planning and guide Loaders for efficient and correct loading;
• Organize and coordinate internal cycle counts in all the Warehouses and ensure system balances tally with the physical as well as transit entries (Purchase Orders); and participate fully in End of year stock take and reconciliation;
• Establish, maintain, and ensure there is adequate security system for all Warehouses to prevent theft and damage to facilities, assets and stocks;
• Responsible for the maintenance for the Warehouse facilities, pallets, shelving, electricity, water supply, fire prevention, floods and all equipment;
• Coaches and supervises staff within his team.
Minimum Requirements And Competencies
• Relevant Degree from a recognized university;
• Diploma in Stores Management or its equivalent;
• Minimum 5 years work experience in a similar field (in a dynamic environment);
• Experience in the storage or distribution of pharmaceuticals will be and added advantage;
• Excellent command of written and spoken English;
• Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point), with experience in ERPs;
• High organizational and analytical skills;
• Able to work efficiently under pressure with minimum supervision;
• Strong team leadership skills and supervision experience;
• Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
