-The University of Embu (UoEm) was established as a Constituent College of the University of Nairobi via a Legal Notice No. 65 of 17th June, 2011 by His Excellency the President. EUC is the successor of the former Embu Agricultural Staff Training (EAST) College which started in 1947 as an agricultural training school and was later renamed Embu Institute of Agriculture in 1968. In 1990, it was upgraded to be Embu Agricultural Staff Training (EAST) College whose mandate was to develop and implement short management and technical courses, and offer research and consultancy services to enhance performance in the agricultural sector.

Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor’s degree of at least Second Class Upper Division and a Master’s degree from a recognized university in the area of specialty. In addition, applicants must
be registered for a PhD degree and have made substantial progress in their PhD studies.
Evidence of progress made in the PhD studies (e.g. PhD progress report) MUST be submitted with the application.

Applicants must be holders of KCSE D+ (plus) /KCE DIV IV and be in possession of a valid driver’s
license class A B C E and Occupational Trade Test III for drivers. In addition they must;
Have at least five (5) years accident-free continuous driving experience;
Have valid certificate of good conduct from the Kenya Police; and
Demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili languages.
Ability in driving tractors, buses and lorries will be an added advantage

Nursing Officer

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must be holders of at least KCSE C (plain) aggregate and a Diploma in Nursing from a
recognized institution. In addition, they must:
Must be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya and must have a valid practicing license;
Have at least three (3) year’s relevant post qualification work experience as a Nurse in a busy hospital;
Have good communication, analytical and report writing skills; and
Have working knowledge of relevant computer applications.
