JOB DETAILS:
Senior Tourism Officer

Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinating the implementation of County tourism development plans, programmes and projects;
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual tourism reports and statistics;
• Linking the county service providers to relevant sector players to aid in classification of hospitality facilities;
• Monitoring of County tourism sector growth and development and prescription of corrective measure;
• Initiating intelligence surveys and research activities; and
• Conducting sensitization forums for tourism stakeholders in the County

Requirements for Appointment
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Tourism, Eco-tourism, Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, Travel Tourism Management, Sustainable Tourism Management, Tourism and hospitality management, Wildlife enterprise and management; Travel and tourism management, International Relations or their equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution
• Demonstrated merit and shown ability as reflected in work performance and results.
