JOB DETAILS:
Senior Driver - 2 Posts
QUALIFICATIONS
- Nine (9) years cumulative experience three (3) years of which should have been at the grade of Driver I or comparable position in the public or private sector;
- KCSE mean grade D (plain) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent;
- Valid driving license free from any current endorsements(s);
- Passed Occupational Trade Test I for Drivers;
- Defensive Driving Certificate from recognized institution;
- Refresher Driving course lasting not less than one week from a recognized institution;
- Certificate of Good Conduct (renewable after one (1) year);
- Refresher course in First Aid lasting not less than one (1) week
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
- Meet the provision of Chapter Six of Constitution
Responsibilities:
- Driving the Authority vehicle as authorized;
- Carrying out minor mechanical adjustments;
- Recognizing and reporting mechanical defaults of the vehicles;
- ensuring security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road;
- Monitoring and reporting expiry of insurance policies for motor vehicles;
- Preparing and submitting reports on transport when need arises; and
- Ensuring safety of passengers and/or goods therein.
