Education
• Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in marine biology, hydrology, Nutrients management, environmental science, natural resources management, business administration, management, economics, or a related field is required.
• A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
• Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is desirable.
Work Experience
• A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management or related area, including at least three (3) years at the international level is required.
• Work experience in large-scale project design, management, supervision, monitoring, and evaluation is required.
• Work experience in coordinating high level policy dialogues and conferences on pollution, nutrient management, environment management or development is desirable.
• Work experience within UN or other international organisations is desirable.
• Experience working with different regional and international working groups and taskforces is desirable.
• Two (2) years or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.
Languages
• English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the advertised post, fluency in English is required; working knowledge of French is desirable.
