Laboratory Technicians Grade, KIP 9
VACANCY No. KIP/LT 9/2025
For appointment to this grade, an Officer MUST have:
- Diploma in any of the following fields: Medical Laboratory Sciences, Laboratory sciences, Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
- Registration Certificate issued by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB) where applicable;
- Valid practicing license from Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board where applicable;
- Proficiency in computer applications;
- Demonstrated work performance and results;
- and fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Duties and responsibilities
- Collecting, preparing and store research samples and specimen;

- Assisting in designing and developing the necessary laboratory infrastructure needed for biobanking
- Performing biobanking activities
- Assisting in preparing reagents and materials;
- Handling and disposing laboratory waste;
- Collecting, preparing and storing research samples and specimen;
- and assisting in field work
