Job Summary
We are looking for a hardworking and self-driven Junior Network Engineer to join our Network and Infrastructure Team to ensure networks are running smoothly and upgrade networks to provide maximum performance. The job holder will be expected to manage the projects within time, cost and quality objectives.

Principal Accountabilities
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN)
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
• Monitor performance and ensure system high availability and reliability
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
• Install computer networks such as local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), the Internet, intranets, and other data communications systems
• Manage DHCP, WIFI and assignment of IP on the networks and restore protocol.
• Undertake routine preventative measures and implement, maintain and monitor network security and ensure systems comply with industry standards.
• Ensure replication services always functional and current. Undertake quarterly DR and BCP tests

Minimum Requirements
• An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related subject, Networking, Engineering
• CCNA Certified, CCNP (Desirable)
• Fiber Certifications (Desirable)
• 1+ year hands-on network engineering experience in an ISP, Data Center or busy IT department environment
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
• Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
• Knowledge in deployment management of backup and replication solutions on VMware such as Veeam, Nakivo.
• Reasonable knowledge of ICT Support
