JOB DETAILS:
The successful candidate will work closely with the Digital Education Project Manager in evaluating the current platform, scoping, planning, development and testing and will be responsible for documenting platform development progress. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication skills, with strong technical expertise in back end and front-end web development as well as a thorough knowledge of e-learning systems and experience with low bandwidth video training platforms.
Responsibilities: •
Design and develop scalable systems and infrastructures for a Learning Management System/ eLearning platform •
Measure and analyses results, and generate hypotheses to drive product changes through A/B testing •
Evaluate and communicate technical limitations and requirements to the project team. This will include an evaluation of the current platform with a suggestion of technical alternatives/adjustments •
Build easy to use and intuitive UI to maximize the efficiency •
Troubleshoot technical issues with websites, servers and code •
Document and review code, test and manage code repositories •
Work closely with the project team to develop a technology plan, including network security/technology policies, and establish a roadmap •
Design and develop integrations with partners
Minimum Qualifications: •
Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience creating eLearning application preferably with experience creating a skill development platform and conversant with Word Press Development Technologies •
Proficiency in technologies of the web i.e.: JavaScript, jQuery HTML, and CSS/Bootstrap, experience in at least one modern UI framework (e.g., Angular, ReactJS, etc.), and experience in building eLearning web applications •
Data-driven and motivated by success and learnings through experiments and metrics analysis •
Experience with bug tracking and project documentation (JIRA, Trac, Bugzilla) •
Experience building responsive platforms for low digital literacy adult learners is highly desirable
