JOB DETAILS:
• Elloe is looking for an experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to spearhead its rapid growth. The CMO will lead the performance of a full-stack, customer-centric marketing organization through the company’s next phase of growth and expansion and have a deep focus on analytics and decision-making based on testing and iteration.
• We are looking for a real hands-on leader who has grown a startup marketing team through analytics, technology, creativity, multichannel advertising, and data-driven decision-making, with a bias for action and execution. This leadership role will be focused on propelling our brand and the brands of companies we acquire to the stratosphere.
• The Chief Marketing Officer will grow and scale a world-class marketing organization and be part of the executive leadership team taking Elloe to its next level of growth. In this role, you will lead and manage the marketing team to deliver key results in Acquisition & Organic Marketing, Brand, Content & Email Management, Engagement and Retention Strategies, Lifecycle Management, Analytics, social media as well as Communications, and Public Relations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing execution, leadership and management, a quantitative perspective, and a passion for understanding product and consumer needs.
As Chief Marketing Officer, you will:
• Define objectives and strategy for Elloe’s marketing team in partnership with other senior leaders of the organization and portfolio companies.
• Oversee the planning, development, and execution of an organization's marketing initiatives.
• Oversee content marketing and email programs across portfolio brands.
• Lead and empower a collaborative team of cross-functional marketers, driving the vision and overseeing efforts across these functions.
• Develop and implement a cohesive marketing plan to increase brand awareness for Elloe and our portfolio companies.
• Generate revenue by increasing sales and growth through successful marketing for the entire organization and portfolio companies using market research, pricing, marketing communications, advertising, and public relations.
• Own the branding strategy, with the core mission of managing the relationships with designers, and brands function during expected rapid growth, funding stages, and a public offering.
• Design effective campaigns that communicate our brands in a way that resonates with and motivates our target market, driving increased sales and acquisitions.
• Find scalable marketing channels across all forms of digital media via testing & iteration.
• Drive consistent strategic and tactical alignment throughout your team by establishing ambitious objectives and key results (OKRs) on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Provide ongoing tracking, measurement, KPI, and ROI analysis for marketing initiatives and campaigns to provide clear, actionable insights.
• As an Executive, you will ensure team members are excited to go to work every day, ready to produce results and make a positive difference in the world.
What we look for:
• 5+ years of experience, with at least 3+ years in marketing leadership roles in a startup, including experience scaling a growing team, Working with C-level executives, managing marketing budgets, and executing successful go-to-market strategies.
• Experience leading marketing at a company or startup in hypergrowth and growing a startup marketing team through analytics and technology.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering on multi-channel growth metrics, such as web traffic, leads, client conversions, and revenue generation.
• Experience hiring, mentoring, and leading sales teams, and experience overseeing relationships with external agencies and brands at a high level of success and execution on contract negotiation.
• Deep experience developing strategy and executing acquisition programs and has deep expertise in trade-offs affecting engagement, retention, and not only acquisition.
• Experience developing strategy and executing conversion rate optimization.
• Has owned a P&L Build up a marketing and growth team with decision-making deeply rooted in data via testing and iteration.
• Collaborate across all internal functions, from operations to communications internal and external, ensuring a single source of truth across all messaging, work products, and special projects
• Entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on mentality when needed.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking skills combined with the ability to implement plans. Great at building and maintaining relationships, fostering an environment of mutual respect, understanding, and trust.
• Organized, knowing how to apply a structured approach, but also flexible and adaptable to individual situations.
• Proactive and energetic, with an ability to motivate a team.
• A passion for consumers and a deep understanding of tomorrow’s groundbreaking technologies and innovation trends.
